  Prevention
is based on the presence of an adequate ventilation and aspiration in the
rooms where formaldehyde is used, in addition to the employment of the
appropriate personal protective devices such as masks and gloves. The
limits of environmental concentration for formaldehyde have been fixed by
ACGIH at 1 ppm, with a ceiling value of 0.3. In Italy, formaldehyde
employment is regulated under the regulation n. 57/1983.
