  In these
rooms different preparations are used to induce and maintain general
anaesthesia. Risks for the patient who must undergo general anaesthesia
have been known for many years. Less attention has been paid to the
health risks arising from occupational exposure to anaesthetics in the
operating-theatre personnel.
