 Sterilization
procedures must take place in closed containers in order to avoid the
environmental limit exceeding (0.2 ppm fixed by ACGIH).
Hands must not be immersed in a glutaraldehyde solution, forceps must be
used to take the immersed equipment and is necessary the use of a mask to
avoid irritant vapours inhalation. In case of skin contact the affected
area must by immediately flood with water.
It is advisable to work in a well-ventilated place or under fume
cupboard. Glutaraldehyde must be protected from heat and radiation
sources.
